GRANDVIEW, Ohio — The Cougars opened up the 2019 regular season with a road game at Grandview Heights on Tuesday April 2nd.
The Cougars roster has plenty of leadership. With 10 seniors and most of them with previous varsity experience. I can sense that the underclassmen pitchers will contribute in the bullpen throughout the year.
The Westland ballclub is under the guidance of first year coach Brett Shannon.
Westland showed resiliency and fought til the end. The cougars middle infield looks solid and flashed the leather multiple times against the Bobcats. Outfield needs some tuneups but the season is still early.
The Cougars travel to Briggs High School, Thursday April 4th,first pitch is scheduled at 5:15pm.
